Bridgestone has sharpened its road racing line-up with the new Battlax BT-003, designed to give racetrack professionals and track day enthusiasts improved handling and faster lap times. Main features include a new tread pattern, tuned construction and 3 types of compounds for smooth to abrasive surfaces. Improved handling The new Battlax BT-003 is a homologated full-race tyre for a wide range of bikes, mainly for track use. Derived from Bridgestone’s MotoGP racing programme, it has three compound options and a ZR rating with W speed range. Compared with the Battlax BT-002 it will replace, the BT-003 brings overall improved handling, better grip, significantly reduced front-wheel chatter and a unique Type 4 compound option for extra stability on less abrasive or bumpy tarmac.

Derived from the BT-002 homologated full-race range, the Z-rated Racing Street front/rear pairing delivers outstanding contact feel and precise cornering ability. Its main adaptation for practical road use lies in the selection of tread compounds that combine long-life durability with sure-footed response under wide-ranging surface and weather conditions.
